Show your face more

Selfies are flooded on your Instagram feed for a reason — because faces convert! By now, it’s really no secret that the Instagram algorithm favors faces, even a front-facing selfie will perform better than a side-profile selfie, the algorithm is THAT face obsessed. So, if you want to show up more on your audience's feed, and move up in the ranks of the algorithm’s preference, it's time to show your face.

Try new features

Remember when Reels rolled out and ALL you saw on your feed was, well, Reels? It’s because Instagram just loves when you show their new features some love, so they are going to boost your content to show up more and more on your audience’s feed in hopes that they’ll try the new feature, too! If a new feature rolls out, give it a try!

Show up on video

Sorry to bring up Reels again, but it’s relevant! The creation of a new video-creation feature is more indication that Instagram loves video content. It’s gained A LOT of traction over the last year from IGTV to IG Lives, and, of course, now Reels. It’s a great way to share content with your audience in a way that feels more personal because they get to see you being you!

Use hashtags effectively

If you’re using hashtags correctly and effectively, your content is going to reach a wider audience, get more impressions, and more engagement, which will, in turn, lead to more followers! So how do you use them correctly? You should be using the full allotment of 30 hashtags on every post, you should be sure to not use hashtags that are over-saturated, and every hashtag you choose should be relevant to your industry and the content you’re sharing.
